All Internet transfers are processed through S-FTP (secure FTP). At our production center, all computer servers are under constant watch and guarded by a login ID and password. There is no direct Internet access from production workstations. No employee can take out data files on floppy or CD and the entire area is guarded by digital cameras and physical inspection 24/7. JOIN understands the importance of information security for Business Process Outsourcing and takes the matter very seriously.
Disaster recovery
In the following explanation, disaster is classified in two categories:
a. The first category is deemed as a situation where the entire production area and data center are destroyed.
b. The second category is deemed as a situation where the production area suffers lesser damage, or specific equipment in the data server room is destroyed.
JOIN's Incident Response Team will follow our disaster recovery plan to restore production within the shortest time possible.
a. For the first category disaster, four selected off-site production facilities will be used for recovering production between 6 to 12 hours.
b. For the second category disaster, pre-configured backup servers, routers and switches will be set up and backup data will be restored. Our in-house primary data is distributed from different physical devices. A loss of one device will not disturb the other units and business can continue as normal. The technical support team will then immediately fix the damaged hardware and restore the operation as quickly as possible.
Data backup
We have multiple data backup servers and drives for daily storage. Documents are routinely destroyed after customer confirmation. All client documents and storage media for archiving are kept behind locked doors and watched by facility guards.
Back up facilities
We have a "hot" backup facility located in Baoji , Shaanxi. This site has 50 workstation and is located 200 km away from the primary Service Center . We also have an alternative back up facility with the same capabilities in Jinan , Shandong as well.
